As a member of the Imperial Beach City Council, Mariko represents her community with dedication, integrity, and a strong commitment to public service. She works collaboratively to address local priorities, strengthen community partnerships, and promote responsible, effective governance.
Mariko holds a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Law, along with a Master’s in Public Administration from Arizona State University. Her academic background has equipped her with a strong foundation for navigating complex policy issues and advancing thoughtful, practical solutions that benefit residents and local businesses.
Known for her strategic leadership and coalition-building skills, Mariko is deeply committed to civic engagement and open dialogue. She believes in creating spaces where diverse perspectives are respected and where collaboration leads to meaningful, lasting results.
